In Loving Memory of Beverly Baker
October 6, 1949 – August 3, 2026

Beverly Baker, lovingly known as "Bev," passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, at the age of 76. She was born on October 6, 1949, in Alhambra, California, and lived a life devoted to faith, family, friendship, and serving others with a loving heart.

Bev graduated from Northview High School with the Class of 1967 before pursuing her passion for beauty by attending beauty school and Southwestern College. On June 24, 1967, she married the love of her life, Rory Baker, in Covina, California. Together they built a beautiful marriage filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion for nearly six decades.

Throughout her life, Bev called many places home, including Covina, Diamond Bar, Via Verde, Upland, California, Goodyear, Arizona, and finally Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where she continued to build lasting friendships and surround herself with those she loved.

A gifted beautician, Beverly's career was much more than a profession—it was her calling. She proudly owned Contessa Hair Fashions and later shared her exceptional talent while working at Glen East Hair Salon and Angels Touch Salon. She had an extraordinary ability to make every person who sat in her chair feel beautiful, confident, and cared for. She genuinely loved what she did, and it showed in every life she touched. Her salon chair became much more than a place for hairstyling—it was a place where friendships were formed, stories were shared, and hearts were uplifted. She didn't simply style hair; she restored confidence, lifted spirits, and made people feel seen, valued, and beautiful.

Bev was a devoted Christian whose faith was reflected in the way she loved and cared for others. She enjoyed basketball, softball, spending time with family and friends, and making memories with the people she loved most. But above all else, her greatest joy was her family.

She was a safe place for everyone who knew her. Whether you were family by blood or simply someone who needed love, Beverly had a remarkable way of making you feel like you belonged. She welcomed others with open arms, often taking people into her heart and treating them as if they were her very own family. Her kindness knew no limits, and her compassion touched countless lives.

Bev spent her entire life caring for others. She was thoughtful, selfless, and always put the needs of those she loved before her own. She celebrated life's joys with those around her and quietly carried their burdens when they needed strength. Her family often says that caring for Beverly during her final days was one of the greatest honors of their lives because she had spent a lifetime caring for them.

To know Beverly was to experience unconditional love. She had a beautiful spirit that made everyone feel welcomed, accepted, and important. She was an amazing wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt, and friend whose heart always had room for one more. Her warmth, encouragement, gentle heart, and genuine interest in others left an unforgettable impression on everyone she met. The love she gave so freely created a family that extended far beyond blood, and countless people were blessed to call her "Mom," "Nana," or simply "Friend."

Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Richard and Frances Johnston, and her cherished son, Andrew Jack Enright.

She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Rory Baker; her son, Doug Baker of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; her daughter, Yvette Baker of Los Lunas, New Mexico; her sisters, Linda Taylor and Nancy Culley, both of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; seven beloved grandchildren; eight treasured great-grandchildren; and many extended family members, lifelong friends, and those she lovingly claimed as family.

Her legacy is not measured by the years she lived, but by the countless lives she touched with her generosity, compassion, unwavering faith, and unconditional love. She leaves behind a family forever strengthened by her example and a community made better simply because she was part of it.

Her children shared words that perfectly capture the love they have for their mother:

"Mom, if we had the chance to choose our mother all over again, we'd choose you every single time."

There could be no greater tribute to the extraordinary woman Beverly was. She was the heart of her family, a trusted friend, a devoted wife, a loving mother, Nana, great-grandmother, sister, and a woman whose faith, kindness, and grace will never be forgotten.

Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we rejoice in knowing that her love lives on in each of us. Her memory will continue to inspire, comfort, and guide all who were blessed to know her.

God alone was the Author of Beverly's story. He wrote a life filled with hope, grace, compassion, and purpose. Now, in His perfect love, He has welcomed her home into eternal peace.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
