Charles Romer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles “Chip”
Romer on September 12, 2026.

Chip was born on February 9, 1961, in South Bend, Indiana. He was the
owner of Romer Beverage Company, a wholesale beverage distribution
company. He was a respected businessman and leader who cared
deeply about his family, friends, employees, and all those around him.
Chip passed away doing what he loved, with his partner Jennifer Luzzi.
They shared a special passion for living life to the fullest and filling every
moment with laughter and excitement. There was never a dull moment
when they were around, and their time together will be forever
remembered.

Chip had a passion for life and loved making the most of every moment.
An accomplished business owner, pilot, boater, and race car driver, he
embraced his many interests with enthusiasm and determination. He
loved boating, racing, and was always ready for his next adventure. But
as much as he loved those things, nothing meant more to Chip than his
family. He was a loving father and devoted family man who worked hard
to provide for the people he loved and took great pride in their happiness
and well-being.

Chip’s personality, generosity, and love of life left a lasting impression on
everyone fortunate enough to know him. He will be remembered not only
for all that he accomplished, but for the way he made people
feel—welcomed, valued, and part of his life. His family, friends,
employees, and all who had the privilege of knowing him will deeply miss
his laughter, stories, humor, and unmistakable exuberance for life.

Chip is survived by his sons, Matthew (Siera) and Jesse Romer
(Wendy); his daughter, Kate Romer; his former spouse of 33 years, Teri
Romer; his sister, Stacy Kirkwood-Romer; and his nephew, Zachary. He
was preceded in death by his parents, Charles “Chuck” and Joan Romer,
and his daughter, Ashley Romer. Chip leaves behind three grandchildren
and one great-nephew, with another grandson expected in November.
His family and friends will carry his memory forward and cherish the
many moments, stories, and adventures they shared with him.
