Cheryl Wallace

–

Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Born in Torrance, California September 16, 1950, daughter of Marvin and Helen Day, step- daughter of Kenneth Keith, and sister of Gary Bohannan. All have predeceased her.
She lived in California all of her life, until moving to Lake Havasu City, Arizona in 2021.

Cheryl married her childhood sweetheart, David Wallace, in 1968. They were married 43 years, until Jesus called David home in 2011. They had one daughter, Janelle Christine, born in 1969.

Cheryl worked outside her home from time to time, but was never a career girl. Her husband preferred her to be at home with their daughter during her growing up years. He provided well for their family, an electrical lineman by trade, which allowed her to do just that. They were "best friends".

She was caregiver to her husband, her stepfather, her mother and to several friends who did not have family to help them during their final days. She always said it was an honor.

Cheryl accepted Jesus as her personal savior on July 19, 1959 at the age of 8. She was baptized very soon after. She was later rebaptized with her husband and daughter, while living in Big Bear City, California. She and David served their church as deacon and deaconess until David became ill.

She is survived by her daughter, Janelle Bruinsma, Janelle's husband, Nick, two grandchildren, Kyle and Shannen, their spouses, Shaye and Dustin, as well as six great grandchildren, Maddison, Nora, Lennon, Mackenzie, Jaxon and Brody. Her first great grandson, Deklan, has predeceased her and awaits her in Heaven.
