Michael Galloway

–

Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Michael Galloway passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026 in his Lake Havasu, Arizona, home surrounded by family. He was born in Tracy, California, on January 21, 1948 to Nina Walther and Russel Hann.

Mike spent his early years in Tracy and Stockton, CA. In 1960, the family settled in Santa Barbara, CA, where he was raised by his mother along with his four siblings: Meladee, Chuck, David and Maryann. Mike was passionate about the performing arts and was in several musicals and plays while attending Santa Barbara High School. A few years later, he was a guitarist and singer in local bands including Fresh Greens, Mighty Mike & Co. and the Bottom Line. Mike met and married his high school sweetheart, Susie Glenn, in 1965. During their marriage, Mike and Susie had two children, Matt and Katie, born in January and December of the same year.

Mike and Susie separated and divorced a few years later. Mike moved around a bit and performed in gigs with different bands before settling in Hollywood, CA, initially living there with his best friend Mike Wilson. In Hollywood, Mike spent years working for McConkey Talent Agency looking for artists, pursuing record deals, and booking talent domestically and internationally. In 1991, Mike moved to Lake Havasu, AZ, to start his own business and be closer to family.

In Lake Havasu, Mike received his contractor's license and subsequently founded Havaclear Water, a reverse osmosis and soft water installation business. He also helped his mother Nina (a general contractor) build new homes. After the move to Havasu, Mike's passion for the stage and music never waned. Mike joined the theater group, the Drury Lane Players and acted and directed in several local theater productions. Mike founded and performed in two different partnership bands: “Mike and Brian” and “Mike and Gene”. He also took the stage as a solo musician and played for years at the Quality Inn, the Holiday Inn, the Elks Club, the Ramada and the Pearl Baily Showmobile. He was even booked privately by the McCulloch family for holiday celebrations.

Mike was nonviolent, peaceful, truly easy going by nature and well liked and loved by all who knew him. He joined the practice of Buddhism in 1986. Mike later became a member of the Lake Havasu chapter of SGI-USA (Soka Gakkai Int) and often held meetings at his home.

While living in Lake Havasu, Mike reconnected with his children and became a grandfather and great-grandfather several times over. He spent years as an amazing grandfather, uncle and great-grandfather, often taking the kids to the movie theater and to parks in town. He shared his love for music and movies with everyone around him. He was married to Linda Harvey for several years before her passing to cancer in 2016. Mike was close with his surviving siblings until his passing, often talking to them every day.

After battling cancer for over 10 years, Mike passed away at home surrounded by loving family and a lifetime of memories. Mike was a powerful and positive soul. His love, laughter, and humor will resonate through generations of his family and friends. Mike is preceded in death by his mother, Nina Walther Stevens and his brother Chuck. He is survived by his siblings: Meladee, David and Maryann, his children: Matt and Katie, his five grandchildren: Kathrine, Nick, Rachel, Alex and Magnus and his five great-grandchildren.

Michael Galloway will take center stage one last time as his family holds a celebration of life at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home in Lake Havasu on August 28, 2026 from 1 - 3 pm.
