Patricia Ray

Patricia Joan Ray, 87, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away peacefully at home
surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. Born August 13, 1939, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Peter James Fischer and Gerada Rosalene (O’Bladen) Peters. She married Hobert Morris Ray on January 26, 1957, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Patricia devoted herself to her home, family, and friends, possessing a gentle but spirited nature. She was known for welcoming others with genuine warmth, choosing thoughtful gifts, and baking with a skill that made her the go-to for pies, cakes, and cookies. She loved preparing treats for gatherings of any size, finding joy in feeding the people she cared for. She walked hand in hand with her husband through many classic car rallies, enjoying time spent near or on the water and in the sunshine --dancing, laughing, and celebrating life at every opportunity.

She is survived by her sisters, Theresa Gibford of Sacramento, California, Jacqueline Edwards of Roseville, California, and Barbara Zamudio of Redlands, California; daughters, Deborah L. (Ray) Fonte of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Doreen L. (Ray) Raigosa (Mark) of Long Beach, California, and Diana L. (Ray) Wadley (Dain) of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; daughter-in-law, Jacquelyn Ray of Apple Valley, California; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter J. Fischer and Gerada R. Peters; stepfather, Abraham Peters; husband, Hobert M. Ray I; son, Hobert M. Ray II; and brothers, Joseph Fischer, Ronald Fisher, and Gregory Fischer.

Patricia will be remembered for her generous love and deep devotion to family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at her home in Arizona on October 17, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., graveside service and fellowship at 11:00 a.m. on October 26, 2026 at Desert View Memorial Park
