Sabino Hernandez Perez

Sabino Hernandez Perez, 57, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026. He was born on August 29, 1969, in Jeréz, Zacatecas, Mexico, to Valentin Hernandez and Dolores Perez.

Sabino was a hardworking man who worked as a landscaper with LT. Landscaping. His work suited his love for the outdoors and nature. Some of his happiest and most peaceful moments were spent sitting beneath the tree in his backyard, enjoying the beauty and stillness of the world around him. He especially loved being near the ocean.

Known for his strength, Sabino had a passion for going to the gym and staying active. In fact, the gym held an especially meaningful place in his life, as it was where he met his longtime companion, Socorro Jara. Though they never officially married, Sabino and Socorro shared 22 years together, building a life filled with love, family, and memories.

Sabino also had a special love for dogs and treasured the companionship and joy they brought into his life. Above all, he loved his family and cherished the time he was able to spend with those closest to him.

Sabino was a Christian, and his faith was an important part of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Valentin Hernandez and Dolores Perez; and his grandparents, Ascencion Hernandez and Germania Arroyo, and Julio Perez and Antonia Zepeda.

Sabino is survived by his loving companion of 22 years, Socorro Jara; his sons, Angel Hernandez and Sabino Hernandez; his daughters, Angelica Hernandez and Jossifer Hernandez; his brothers, Raul Hernandez Perez, Refugio Hernandez Perez, and Julian Hernandez Perez; his sister, Maximina Hernandez Perez; and his beloved grandchildren, Ezaia Lorenzo Urquijo-Hernandez and Benjamin Urquijo-Hernandez.

Sabino will be remembered as a strong, hardworking and loving man who found happiness in life's simple blessings—family, dogs, the gym, the shade under a favorite tree, the beauty of nature, and the peacefulness of the ocean. His strength, love, and memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A visitation and viewing will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home, 21 Riviera Blvd., Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86403. A funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. Services were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
